Just a quick spray enhances the model's finish by smoothing out differences in sheen and texture between the paint and decals. As it's water-based, it's safe to use over decals without risking damage, and it's also perfect for protecting surfaces painted with water-based hobby colors. The semi-gloss variant is particularly suitable for airplane models, figures, and character models. For military aircraft with numerous markings, it helps to make the transition between paint and decals less noticeable.
Note:
- When using over decals, some types of decals might react and dissolve. Always conduct a test spray first.
- Avoid using Mr. Top Coat in high humidity as it can lead to a cloudy surface.
