Description
The UH-60A Black Hawk is a tactical transport helicopter used by the US Army. The UH-60J was developed as a successor to the UH-1 Iroquois helicopter. As such, its transport capability and overall performance are significantly superior to the UH-1. It's equipped with systems for external loading, allowing it to carry fuel tanks and various weapons externally. To counter infrared-guided (heat-seeking) missiles, the Black Hawk is fitted with an infrared suppression system on top of the aircraft that deflects and disperses the infrared emissions from the engine exhaust. This enhancement has strengthened its capability to operate in combat zones.
